Emilie Whelan, Program Facilitator – Emilie is the Program Facilitator and Co-Founder of The DISTILLERY. She is a member of Cripple Creek Theater Company in New Orleans, Ubuntu Theater Project in Oakland, and student in the MFA Directing program at UC San Diego. As an arts organizer, projects include New Orleans Fringe Festival, Interstate Fringe, Adult Petting Zoo, Potluck Original Series. As a fellow theatre-maker of New Orleans and an advocate of site-specific theater, projects include Under Milk Wood at the Saturn Bar, The Lily’s Revenge at Den of Muses, Lysistrata, The Madwoman of Chaillot and Ubu Roi trilogyat the Allways Lounge, Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden. She is a member of the Network of Ensemble Theaters and an alumni of Lincoln Center Director’s Lab.

Alysia Savoy, Program Manager – Alysia is an arts administrator who was born and raised in New Orleans and gained her background in artist management and record label operations in New York City, working with artists and organizations based all over the U.S., Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and elsewhere. In New Orleans, she has worked with local theater ensembles and arts institutions in Production Management and Development; she is Program Manager for The DISTILLERY Artist Residency, taking place this summer at the Contemporary Arts Center, and is a candidate for a Masters in Arts Administration at the University of New Orleans.
